"Does the life of a tree begin in the seed or before it?
I mean, this life that flows inside us,
where does it start?"
Tree 150 was a participatory performance and art instalation created and presented during the Onsite Interdisciplinary Artistic Residency and Festival that brought together 10 creators, artists, thinkers, and interdisciplinary practitioners from different countries who applied with an idea for a site-specific project or an action proposal to offer to the human and non-human inhabitants of the city neighborhood of Herzberge in Berlin-Lichtenberg.
The action had the objective to reactivate and highlight "deactivated" places in a certain way, by inviting the spectator to actively look at these zones of possibility, generating experiences that make us understand and see the city and "infra-compositions" through the exploration of this space using a rope.
Seeking the contrast between life and death, poetizing an encounter with a sick tree numbered 150 inside Psychiatry and Psychotherapy area, the participative performance was an invitation to experiment itself enjoying the company of this tree that is still alive and its surroundings. The performance was also composed of poetic text and audio which you can access bellow.
