BEING, BETWEEN
Being, Between is an interactive installation that bridges distances and materializes the ephemeral traces that flow between bodies in an encounter. By connecting participants placed in different locations, the artwork captures their heartbeat data and transmits it through digital networks, weaving a shared, real-time experience. These data streams are then translated into tactile vibrations, transforming a remote encounter into a dialogue between signal and flesh. The installation probes the emotional weight of our communication infrastructures. It questions the nature of digital culture: What remains of human connection when bodies speak through data? In an era of simulation, is the other truly there?
The project was created in collaboration with Patrick Ortiz.
